We had an excellent race Saturday afternoon. Clean start with speed and good air ... leading after a few hundred yards. Kept our air clean, hit the shifts, rounded first, then extended. Lead at the leeward mark, stayed fast and clean, completed the second (last) lap in the lead and collected our first bullet of the regatta. Nice feeling! High fives all around. We went to the party still in third place, but now only 3 points behind second (their 10 to our 13). Momentum was on our side.
